Lossnay Ventilation

- Product description
- Product details
Lossnay fresh air home ventilation from Mitsubishi Electric is a system that exclusively uses fresh, filtered air from outside rather than using the air from the roof cavity.
The Lossnay system is a balanced Energy and Heat Recovery system that draws damp air out of the room and uses it to warm/cool the incoming fresh air. This means the air you've heated in winter isn't blown out by cold air - saving money and avoiding draughts while also dealing with condensation.
Why choose Mitsubishi Lossnay?
- Draws in fresh air from the outside not the attic
- Removes stale air from the inside
- Circulates fresh air without draughts
- Heat recovery from stale outgoing air
- Whisper quiet operation
- Most systems are balanced pressure, but some Lossnay systems can also alter the balance from positive to negative pressure
- Designed for modern homes that are more airtight
Lossnay is a balanced pressure home ventilation system from Mitsubishi Electric which is designed for relatively airtight homes. Mitsubishi Electric is a household name in NZ for Mitsubishi heat pumps and refrigeration.
Lossnay systems also have heat recovery and energy recovery ventilation options. Balanced energy & heat recovery ventilation systems are energy efficient and are recommended for newer airtight homes and can also be used in older homes. They involve drawing the stale damp air out while blowing fresh, filtered air in to replace it. In doing so the warm air is used to raise the temperature of incoming air to save on heating costs and to avoid draughts.

Should ventilation systems use air from the roof?
Not all air is created equal. Lossnay only draws fresh, filtered air into the home while mechanically extracting the same amount of stale, moist air. air to the outside – it does not draw air from the attic. The absence of significant air movement common in attics means the air is likely to be stale. In addition, build-up of dust, dirt and other contaminants such as mould, insect and rodent droppings makes this air much harder to filter before it is distributed through your home. This is why the Lossnay System specifically utilises direct fresh, filtered air instead.
