The polyester used in Mammoth insulation is the same type as used in clothing, pillows and duvets. In addition the polyester fibres are bonded together by heat for a permanent bond. Most other insulation types use glues and resins to hold the fibres together.

Mammoth Insulation also has "Declare" labeling. The Declare programme has a Red List of prohibited materials to provide transparency around the building products. Declare is like a 'nutrition label' aiming for healthier and environmentally friendly products in construction.

InsulPro Manufacturing Ltd (’InsulPro’) manufactures Mammoth 100% polyester insulation products in New Zealand and are designed to provide long-lasting, durable thermal and acoustic insulation.

InsulPro warrant that, provided the polyester insulation is installed correctly and remains adequately protected, Mammoth will perform as well as when installed for 50 years. This 50 year Manufacturer’s Warranty covers insulation material durability when installed in accordance with the manufacturers installation instructions and NZ4246: Energy Efficiency - Installing insulation in residential buildings.

The 50 year Manufacturer’s Warranty applies only to 100% polyester products manufactured by InsulPro and Mammoth and not composite products which incorporate InsulPro or Mammoth polyester products.

This 50 year Manufacturer’s Warranty does not cover:

  1. depreciation due to normal wear and tear,
  2. faults or damage due to misuse, negligence or accident or any other cause other than normal reasonable use.

InsulPro or Mammoth is not liable for claims arising due to poor installation, design, structural movement or other building movement. InsulPro’s and Mammoth’s obligations under this 50 year Manufacturer’s Warranty extend to the repair or replacement of defective product and, subject to any rights a consumer may have under applicable consumer protection law, under no circumstances whatsoever shall it be liable for any loss of profit or other consequential loss occasioned through any defect in the product.
